I was ultra impressed with a beautiful Catan set created in a coffee table and was keen to show images of it here. Sadly the owner has said this can only be done if I link to a porn site. That is not going to happen so instead I have posted this post instead.

In the early 2000's DDC Games released 4 expansions for The Settlers of Catan.

The Settlers of New Catan was a fan epansion inspired by the Starfarers of Catan.

My favourite spin-off set in the Catan family is Catan: Ancient Egypt.

It is not just the artwork and theme that I like but also how the game contains three distinct playable versions smoothly within the one boxed set.

A few weeks ago there was a post in Reddit about the new Catan 25th Anniversary sets and a question about the differences between the English version and the other languages. Also in Board Game Geek, they have the English set in a seperate listing to the other languages (Dutch, French, German, Polish, Russian and Spanish).

I am based in New Zealand but have been using my good friend Erwin, a Catan dealer in Germany, as my postal address to save on shipping. He has also sold me some of the rare games I have (well most of my rare games actually).
