Identify your Traders & Barbarians set

Announced in 2007 and released in 2008, Traders & Barbarians was the third major expansion for Catan. Unlike Seafarers and CIties & Knights, this set is a collection of mini-expansions and add-ons, rather than a complete unit.

The collection included The Fishermen of Catan, The Rivers of Catan, The Great Caravan, Barbarian Invasion and Traders & Barbarians. Also included are 2-Player Rules, Catan Event Cards, The Harbormaster Card and rules for a Friendly Robber.

All colour images are from my own collection. Greyscale images are sets I am still trying to locate.

Please note: Traders & Barbarians was first released in 2008 alongside the fourth edition of the Catan base set. It is not available for the first, second and third editions of Catan.

With the change in hex thickness an updated set should have been released with the new hexes.

One unproven story online is that Mayfair either forgot to update the copyright, or simply changed the hexes in the 2008 box rather than reprint meaning there are two versions of the 2008 box, one with thinner hexes one with thicker.
