This German language map (see below) is notable for being the first for a number of things. Most importantly, it is the very first Catan scenario map to be released. It is also the very first example of an Ancient Egyptian theme being introduced into Catan, as well as the first example of adding the feature building mechanic into Catan games.

This new set (Catan Wanderlust in English) is a collection of four previously released scenario maps released on double sided hard boards.

When bored, I sometimes randomly search Catan in Google to see if I can find anything new to collect or find out new facts about my favourite game.

I have long been a fan of board generators. My table love random maps and a board generator can save a huge amount of time when setting up, especially for those with less experience.

My collection grew with three new games today.  My sister-in-law came to visit and brought some items purchased in Australia for me.

I have managed to add two more new maps today. Even better, all five recent map additions have now been redrawn and updated by Digital Cartographer, Jasper. They now look superb!!.
